About MegaWaves

Megawaves the ultimate cellulite reduction using Shockwave with both Radical & Focused therapies. Megawaves ensures guaranteed, effective, and visible results in no time! Megawaves is a ballistic radial pulse system with an electromagnetic generator as the projectile accelerator. The acoustic radial wave consists of two different parts, positive pressure pulse and a comparatively small tensile wave componenet. The Shockwave squeezes the surrounding tissue and breaks the grid structure of the molecules. The tensile wave leads to a collapse of the gas bubbles within the fat structures, which re-expand after the acoustic radial wave and thus ensure a destabilization of the fat structures.

Cellulite usually develops in different people in different areas, most commonly the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and upper arms, and if well enough developed becomes visible (often referred to as “orange peel” in appearance). Cellulite is characterised by an irregular, dimpled skin surface with thinning of the epidermis/dermis and the presence of nodular clusters of fat cells.

The development of cellulite is said to be related to various predisposing factors, such as biotype, heredity, ethnic background, body weight, age, hormonal changes, smoking, and genetic predisposition

Shockwave

Those stubborn areas of cellulite on your legs and buttocks can be treated with Shockwave which may help you achieve a smoother appearance. Shockwave therapy utilises a Soundwave to shrink and permeate fat cells by creating vibrations. This in turn increases blood flow to the area which may help reduce cellulite and tighten the skin.

Radial pressure waves (RPV) are pulses generated by compressed air which drives a projectile in a cylinder located inside a hand piece to a shock transmitter. The mechanical effects produced by the shockwave shrink and permeate the fat cells. This process activates the metabolism to clear the area of impurities and softens then strengthens the connective tissue.

Shockwave is unsuitable for pregnant and breast feeding women. Your therapist will discuss further medical contraindications during your face to face consultation.
